This project is developed in collaboration with all of the artists, Grinnell College Students, and the Grinnell community.
As interdisciplinary artists, we understand that art activates the spaces inside the body and between bodies. Art is a powerful tool for coalition building and fighting systemic oppression. Our process and performances reflect the diversity of our cast and honors the complexity of human narratives. Our kinesthetic, sonic, visual and aural landscapes strive to transform the trauma of oppression into healing actions. As artists engaged with anti-racism and intersectional inequities, we work to bring people together to engage with the socio-political environment.
This presentation is supported by the Arts Midwest Touring Fund, a program of Arts Midwest that is funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, with additional contributions from the Center for Humanities, Center for Prairie Studies, Public Events, and the Crane Group.
